Me right now:

Today I got pulled to go sub in a 2nd grade class after lunch because they couldn’t get a sub since it was only half a day. I was supposed to go into another class because I had arranged it with the teacher last week and it’s a class I usually sub in once a week. Instead I had to cancel my last 2 classes of the day and got thrown into another classroom where I didn’t know any of the kids’ names or the classroom procedures. I got in just in time to talk to the teacher for 2 minutes and hear her tell me that they are loud and behave poorly. Well, they were terribly behaved the entire time and during our unannounced fire drill, they went nuts.(I was so pissed that they decided to throw a fire drill at us today of all days, because all the other times they plan one, it never actually happens.) Not only was I yelling at them, but 4 other teachers did as well and they still didn’t shut up. They had to spend most of their recess sitting together and were given 4 minutes to run around. In the course of that 4 minutes, 3 of them got into a fight with some other kids and were sent to the principal. Then the rest of the day they couldn’t follow basic instructions like sit in your own seat or be at all civil to one another and were constantly name calling. Since when did 2nd graders become such little shits who drop the f-bomb multiple times and think that they can get away with anything?!

So, now my throat hurts and I have a huge headache. If only I could have gone into my normal sub class instead. This is not a good way to start off my week. This is why I hate subbing and only do it if it’s absolutely necessary. Only 9 days left…
Oh, go fuck yourself, Google. This is just as bad as companies forcing me to “like” something on Facebook before I can view whatever it is they want me to “like.”
Just let me thumbs up something, without forcing me to “upgrade” to G+, you dickheads.
The worst part of this? For a producer like me, I’m going to lose a crapton of potential upvotes for Tabletop, because the core of my audience is tech-savvy and may not want to “upgrade” to yet another fucking social network they don’t want or need.
My internal clock is still thrown off by the whole DST “spring forward” thing. I even woke up at 9am yesterday to try and help myself get to bed earlier, but no I was still up until midnight last night which made me super sluggish at work. I have to force myself to stay awake, but all I want to do is this

This gif is angrily appropriate right now because some fuckers threw an egg at my car while I was driving home from the Doctor Who marathon at one o’clock this morning. I was stopped at a light and this fucking flying thing came out of nowhere and hit the bottom right part of my windshield. I guess I’m lucky I could still see and drive the 30 mins to my house without having to try and find someplace to stop and clean it off. I just spent over an hour washing my car and trying to get all the shell bits and stench out. Fucking youths!
In response to one of PETA’s recent ads, I have decided that I’m done with that bullshit. the rest of this is under a cut to prevent wall-spamming, but I promise to be as eloquent and informative as possible. [possible tw for abuse]
This ad makes me want to punch people.
Nothing from them surprises me anymore…but this almost did.
Reblog Reblog Reblog!
Don’t lose hope. If it’s being shelved and edited there’s still time to make Congress do the smart thing and consult people who actually know how the internet works.
They’re probably hoping the hype will die down and they’ll be able to quietly do whatever they want, which will inevitably be a huge problem for all of us. Don’t let it. Keep up with what’s happening and keep pestering your congresspeople.
In a radical privacy policy shift, Google announced today that it will begin tracking users across all services—email, Search, YouTube and more—sharing information with no option to opt out. The change was announced in a blog post today, and will go into effect March 1.
Why tho?
When you clicked on your post’s tags on your blog, the page says it doesn’t exists. Well the problem is in the URL; when the tags have spaces, e.g.:this is a tag, the url is gonna be like /tagged/this-is-a-tag, so it searches for the tag like this-is-a-tag when it’s not the correct tag. So basically the URL takes you to the wrong tag. Now, the solution:
In your theme code, search for this:
“{TagURL}”
And change it for this:
“/tagged/{Tag}”
And that’s it!
WTF tumblr?! My tags worked fine a few days ago and now you gotta go and mess them all up.
BBC ANNOUNCES NEW THEME SONG FOR DOCTOR WHO SEASON 7
This is a cruel, sick joke.
This song is so overplayed.
I just remembered that I’ve been summoned for jury duty tomorrow. This is the first time I’ve ever been asked and unfortunately I don’t have a valid excuse to get out of it. I have to wake up at 6:30am so that I can be at the courthouse by 8 am which means I have to miss Breaking Bad tonight :( Definitely bringing my book, my Nook, food and music cause who knows how long I’ll be stuck there. Not looking forward to it. I just hope I don’t get picked.

Police pen up and mace female “Occupy Wall Street” protesters
In a disturbing scene from today’s “Occupy Wall Street” protests, a group of peaceful female protesters were rounded up in an orange-colored mesh pen by police and subsequently sprayed with mace without any provocation.
In spite of multiple reported incidents of possible police violence, major media outlets seem to be content to let the protests go by completely unreported, following the same “who-cares” attitude they have taken toward recent revelations that the NYPD has violated the Constitutional rights of American citizens by spying on them as possible terrorists and enemies of the state despite a complete absence of evidence of any crimes.
This is absolutely disturbing. Penning people up to mace them is police brutality. Period. What will it take to get the mainstream media to pay attention? If you follow the #OccupyWallStreet, you’ll find out that at least 80 were arrested today. AP and Wall Street Journal mentioned the arrests briefly today.
wowwww
Annnnd this is exactly why I decided to GTFO of there. Call me a pansy deserter but they were fucking people up all over Union Square today. I’m afraid of what’s gonna happen tonight, as Zucotti Park is surrounded by 100+ cops right now.
This needs more notes. Sick.
PASS THIS ON! PEOPLE NEED TO SEE AND BE AWARE! DEMOCRACY DOESNT EXIST WHERE MARSHALL LAW FLOURISHES!
Two-thirds of viewers who say Fox News is the news source they trust most believe discrimination against whites is as big a problem as discrimination against minority groups, according to a study released Tuesday by the Brookings Institution and the Public Religion Research Institute. The number, 68 percent, is an exact reversal of the percentage of black people in the same poll who say that discrimination against whites is not as big a problem as discrimination against minorities.
crying at this.

WPTN - White People Tears Network

Why doesn’t this surprise me?
Looks like Tumblr has now added a feature to allow you to see all tags on a dashboard post.
Instead of wrapping the tags like in the Missing e Dashboard Fixes feature, you are instead expected to click and drag the tags in order to see the ones that are hidden past the end of a post.
Unfortunately, this means that the wrapping done by the Dashboard Fixes feature no longer works correctly. It would be best for Missing e users to disable the “Show all tags for posts in the dashboard” feature for now. Read this post to learn how to access the Missing e settings.
If Missing e does ever find its way back, I will apply a fix to force wrapping instead of this, less convenient (in my humble opinion) feature Tumblr has rolled out.
Running tally of Missing e features that have found their way into Tumblr’s core:
If you notice any other Missing e features being implemented in Tumblr’s core, please let me know.
- Reblog Tags (from the Better Reblogs feature)
- Tumblr’s implementation does not preserve the order of tags from the original post
- Tumblr does not allow opt-out of this feature, nor does it allow users to reblog tags by choice (it is always automatic)
- Maximum Font Sizes (from the Dashboard Fixes feature)
- Tumblr’s implementation forces all <big> tags to increase font size more than once (instead of allowing a maximum font size)
- Show All Tags (from the Dashboard Fixes feature)
- Tumblr’s implementation does not wrap tags, but requires that you click and drag the tags left and right to see all of them
This is complete and utter bullshit.
Tumblr’s tag feature is absolutely awful.
THE SAD THING IS, THEYRE FAILING.
The automatic reblogging of tags thing is fucking annoying especially if someone has a bunch of them.
